More On The Italian Journalist

Here's a can't miss update to the Italian Journalist saga at Chrenkoff. He has pictures of the bullet ridden car as well as a translated article from a Dutch journalist who just happened to be sitting next to Sgrena on the flight she took to Baghdad just before getting kidnapped.

Two things. First, forget being shot with 300-400 bullets as she claims. If you can find ten bullet holes I'll be shocked. Second, this woman is an idiot on a monumental scale.

You're going to quibble about the number of bullets?

One bullet was one too many.

Again, you must be kidding. You really see no difference? One shot versus 400 shots? Doesn't this suggest something about the veracity of her claims? How about her claim that the car was fired on by tanks? Are none of her over the top accusations meaningful to you?

"One bullet was one too many"? These soldiers are in a war zone. Accidents happen.

It's sad to see that the left is so gripped by Bush hatred that they are willing to give more credence to a hysterical, anti American communist than our own military. But after several years of this, I shouldn't be surprised.

Of course there's a difference. But not to the bottom line: the US made a mistake.

The problem isn't that the likes of me are "Bush haters". The problem is, the likes of you are "Bush harborers"--he can do no wrong.

No. I think Bush has made plenty of mistakes. The difference is that I put them into context and recognize when he's done something right. The left, on the other hand, has done little but mindlessly repeat infantile, silly slogans from the Democratic Underground / Michael Moore talking points memo. The next time I hear a serious, well thought out evaluation of Bush from the left will be the first.
